The mysterious key figure to the Fatal Frame universe. He is the one who created the Camera Obscura and the Spirit Stone Radio. You can say he's a genius, and madly involved in reasearch about the spiritual plane. He modified the latest technology gadgets from his time, like the camera and the radio to help in his research. Like any madman scientist, he was shunned from the academic world. He loaned the Camera Obscura prototye and the spirit stone radio to one of his few friends, Seijiro Makabe. He then traveled Japan to find ways to complete his Camera Obscura. He died unexpectly and this means the theory behind how his gadgets worked is forever lost.

Escaping Twins
Their names are unknown. A pair of twins that tried to escape from the Crimson Sacrifice a long time ago. They were caught and punished. Ryokan lies to Yae and Sae telling them that the twins were killed in a cave in.
